MapViewer
The AmazonGIS project is using ESRI's ArcIMS application
to allow users to browse our data layers online. Data services
are created on the server, and a HTML/Javascript browser client
is used to make requests for maps and data. We are currently
in the process of customizing the default ArcIMS HTML viewer
to create our MapViewer interface, with a custom look and
functionality.

Following the initial implimentation of the MapViewer Application,
development will begin on the AmazonGIS MapBuiler application.
Feature of this interface will include the ability to combine
layrers from mutiple data sources, customization of the map's
appearence, and the ability to save and publish the resulting
